Aloha from Sicily

‘Aloha from Sicily’ was launched in 2006 to celebrate our love affair with Sicily and Hawaii.

Moving to Italy after a lifetime in Honolulu, we thought we'd be chronically homesick amongst all the foreign places and faces. Strangely, Sicily feels like a home away from home.

In many ways, Sicily is a parallel island universe to the Hawaiian Islands. Tourism is the no. 1 industry. The beaches are breathtaking. The scenery is sensational. There’s no shortage of one-way streets and pot holes! The sun shines all year round. Both have active volcanoes. And there are plenty of small-town folks with big aloha!

These cultures have more similarities than differences especially their shared passion for family, food, and friendship.
