New Year's Eve in Sicily
The synchroncity continues...We stepped out into the New Year in Sicily at the Lara's house only to find Hawaiians playing on the ukulele, and the Arnold's found Alaska natives too. Huh? You can imagine our shock.
In fact, just hours before I was telling Matt how to make Kalua Pig without having to fire up an imu. No joke.
Jake Shimabukuro watch out. These two on the right fired up their ukuleles and Rob enjoyed Soctt's Kalua pork for New Year's Eve. By the time we left, we were both so incredibly homesick we could smell the Hawaiian beach and sunset.
I'm always listening for the message and this one was loud and clear - maybe once you've moved away for awhile you can never really go home again as it's never the same as you remembered. But you carry home with you always - it's in you and around you. And just when you think it may have slipped away for good....it finds you.
Happy New Year!
