There are better Greek ruins in Sicily than Greece!

This was my first experience with Greek ruins in 2006 when we arrived to Sicily. Coming from a country that hasn’t yet reached its 300th birthday, it’s humbing to stand inside Taormina’s teatro greco, which was rebuilt by the Romans in the 2nd century BC on the site of the original theatre.

...It is the second largest of its kind in Sicily and is used for opera, concerts, fashion shows and the Taormina Film Festival....

As we waited for the gates to open to the film festival, I was intrigued by two things...the way the bouganvillas climed up through these conifers...and that weird expression on Cristine's face. Hmmm...maybe she had just gotten goosed in the crowd by an Italian.

Speaking of which...here's the American attendees of the June 2007 FilmFest for the world premiere of Transformers...definitely a film of remarkable character and story line development and certainly an Oscar contendor....uh..not!

But everybody loved it any way and the company made it worthwhile!
