Dizzy for Vizzini!

On April 25th, the Allies liberated Sicily....and we discovered Vizzini, a quaint town of about 10,000 farmers and ricotta cheesemakers nestled in the rolling hills of Sicily.

The town’s pride is that it was once home to Sicilian writer Giovanni Verga (1840-1922). Today, it’s claim to fame is that it’s the home of the annual Ricotta (ree-ko-ta not ri-cah-ta) Festival.
